In vitro acclimatization of <i>Curcuma longa</i> under controlled <i>iso</i>-osmotic conditions

In vitro acclimatization has been validated as the successful key to harden plantlets before transplanting ex conditions. present study, we investigated potential of different sugar types (glucose, fructose, galactose, sucrose) in regulating morphological, physiological and biochemical strategies, survival percentage growth performance, rhizome traits turmeric under iso-osmotic potential. Leaf greenness (SPAD value) acclimatized (4% glucose; -1.355 MPa osmotic potential) 'ST018' was retained greater than 'PB009' by 1.69-fold, leading maintain high Fv/Fm (maximum quantum yield PSII), ?PSII (photon PSII) Pn (net photosynthetic rate) levels, shoot height, leaf length, width, fresh weight dry after one month upon addition, Pn, Ci (intracellular CO2), gs (stomatal conductance) E (transpiration (6% sucrose; were stabilized adapted root weights mini-rhizome. Interestingly, accumulation total curcuminoids mini-rhizome derived from 6% sucrose 3.76-fold.
